While I was doing this—I was afloat on a sea of fear and trepidation. Here are some things that will help you when you venture out yourself!
5. Don't be afraid to ask for help. I knew what I needed to get through this task was daunting, and I'd need help. Guest bloggers appeared when I needed them. Interviewees magically (it seemed) showed up to round out my podcast show. Things were falling into place—but one thing that made all the difference was that, when I had a need—or felt I could use some help, I asked. A number of technical challenges came up while I was making my podcast, and though I was worried about how I would appear—or how people would use the information—I didn't hesitate to put my questions out to the community.
It may seem like an odd exaggeration to talk about not dying, but for many people, there are deep psychological barriers protecting them from… doing their art—because for many people, their deep subconscious perception, is that it is a sheer matter of survival not to do that art—even when real opportunities present themselves.
